The light twin-engine helicopter flies in ATE colors for the needs of the Helicopter emergency medical service from the Kryštof – 07 Trenčín center since 2021. The helicopter is certified for operation in CAT A, it meets the requirement of separate engine insulation. It is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW206 B2 engines. The model is equipped with a four-blade main rotor and an anti-torque system of the “Fenestron” type, which has a rear rotor with 10 blades. The cabin is accessible through six doors. Helicopter has sophisticated avionics equipment, a communication system adapted to operational needs, an on-board hoist for evacuating the patient with a rope from hard-to-reach terrain and other safety features such as a cable cutter. Helicopter is also adapted for night flights with night vision goggles (NVIS). The rescue version of this type of helicopter is equipped with complete medical equipment, which allows the patient to provide comprehensive intensive and resuscitation care. In the case of transport of neonatological patients, the helicopter equipment is supplemented by an incubator.
