Cirrus Aircraft CZ
The Cirrus SR22 is a single-engine four- or five-seat composite aircraft manufactured since 2001 by Cirrus Aircraft of Duluth, Minnesota. It is an improved version of the Cirrus SR20 with a larger fuel capacity and a more powerful engine. Designed for higher speed and performance, the 310-horsepower Continental IO-550-N six-cylinder engine increases range and payload for longer missions.
The Cirrus SR22 is equipped with a rescue parachute system: the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). A pioneer of safety standards called the “parachute airplane,” it is the most significant safety innovation in general aviation in more than half a century. No other certified general aviation aircraft manufacturer in the world provides this safety feature as standard equipment.
Thanks to its sophisticated aerodynamic shape combined with the performance of its power units, the Cirrus outperforms other aircraft in its category in speed of flight. The current SR22 and SR22T models are available with an improved Flight Into Known Icing (FIKI) de-icing system, UV protected windows and other superior enhancements.
Each G6 model is equipped with Cirrus Perspective+ by Garmin® avionics, a high-tech avionics system. It’s the most perfectly connected, intelligent and powerful cockpit in its class, featuring features such as a QWERTY keyboard, Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT), flawless digital autopilot, Enhanced Visibility System (EVS), Surfacewatch™ alerting system and Terrain Collision Warning System (eTAWS).
The SR22 series has been the best-selling general aviation (GA) aircraft in the world every year since 2003, and is the most produced GA aircraft of the 21st century and the single most produced GA aircraft made from composite materials, accounting for more than 30% of the entire piston aircraft market.
